Creation of the Multiverse
Verdin is just one plane of existence among many, all residing within a single Sphere of Creation, which is, in turn, only one universe within the infinite vastness of the multiverse.
It was the Ancients, beings of great power, who wrote the multiverse into existence. Waking from a dream, Thalatth, the Ancient dragon goddess, shared with her brethren a vision of an eternal river—an infinite current flowing with the potential of all things, where all could exist, yet nothing yet had form.
Moved by this dream, the Ancients dipped their quills into the Wellspring of Creation and inscribed this river into being, placing it at the heart of their realm. The river carried the prima materia, the very essence from which all worlds would emerge. Each stroke of their quills added to it, shaping an ever-expanding, uncountable array of worlds, each imbued with the raw chaos of the Ancient of Darkness, as she is the embodiment of all potentialities.
Shaping Desire
But the Ancients knew this river, this unformed potential, could not exist without purpose. From within the roiling chaos of each world, Shai’ith, the Creator, drew the specific possibilities he sought to bring into being. With careful choice, he selected his desires from each swirling maelstrom, crafting them into seeds that would grow according to his will.
Once formed, they were passed to the Ancient of Light, who bestowed the spark of life upon each seed, allowing them to germinate and grow. This set Shai’ith’s desires into motion, transforming them from potential into tangible forms.
To ensure that the seeds grew in harmony and according to their purpose, the Ancient of Balance, watched over the process, keeping the forces of creation, destruction, and change aligned.
The Multiverse is Born
And so, the multiverse was born—a flowing river of Darkness’ infinite potential, seeded with Shai’ith’s desires, sparked into being by Light, and harmonized by Balance.
