Book One's Upcoming Release
Hello, my darklings!
It’s time to finally announce the first installment of my new upcoming novel Beneath a Red Hunter’s Moon! It falls squarely in the epic dark fantasy genre with some strong horror elements.
It was supposed to have been released last year, but with everything that has happened in the last 2 years…yeah, that wasn’t going to happen. I’ll still be publishing with the original publishing house, but it’s just been hectic!
So, now we’re aiming for a late fall 2025 release date.
The image I’ve got to the left is probably not going to be the actual cover. It’s just a placeholder for the time being.
Anyway, I’m sure you’re wondering what it might be about so I’ve included the synopsis of the series below.The synopsis is nowhere near perfect, mind. With about nine point-of-view characters and around ten plot lines, it’s hard to boil it down into less than 300 words. But I like to think of it as something of a mix of Martin’s Game of Thrones, Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, and Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos, if you want to pin me down a bit.
Again, not exactly, but it’s the best way I can describe it.
Beneath a Red Hunter’s Moon Series Synopsis
If all the world’s a stage, mortals are merely the marionettes.
When the rogue god Faruk introduces undeath into Verdin’s mortal realm of Akolan, he threatens the pantheon’s coveted food source—the life essence of mortals. Facing starvation and possibly oblivion, the gods look for a way to put an end to his schemes. As Faruk forges his empire of undeath through the cities of Naksur and Tirgovish, the rest turn to the manipulation of the mortal realm to stop him.
Falsely accused of murder, exiled soldier Ligeia finds a new vocation within an elven espionage organization. When a young man approaches the spymaster requesting help in killing the Naksurian puppet-queen Iskra who seemingly threatens Ligeia’s homeland, she agrees. Fulfilling the deal, however, requires an army that she no longer has. Accompanied by her friend Iasus, she must find a way to amass the army necessary to take on the Tirgovian forces before marching on Naksur itself.
But there is more at work behind Faruk’s plans than any of them realize.
